This school, built in 1917, served the surrounding rural community until 1990 when the Miami East School District closed it and turned it over to the citizens of Brown Township. Schoolhouses have stood on this site since 1832, making it one of the oldest continuing education sites in the state of Ohio.
The mission of the A. B. Graham Memorial Center is to preserve a historically significant building as a venue for a community center and museum. As a community center it provides the surrounding rural community with a place to meet, socialize, and attend performing arts, educational, recreational and fitness programs. As a museum it acquires, preserves and exhibits works of local, state and national significance, emphasizing the work of 4-H founder and nationally recognized educator A. B. Graham. Mr. Graham was born and reared, attended school and started his administrative career near the center.
